Sociedad de Naciones

The Sociedad de Naciones, or League of Nations, was an international organization founded after World War I in 1920 to promote peace and cooperation among countries. Its main goals were to prevent wars, resolve conflicts through diplomacy, and encourage disarmament. Although it succeeded in some areas, the League ultimately struggled with enforcement and had limited power, particularly because major powers like the United States did not join. It was dissolved in 1946 and replaced by the United Nations, which aimed to build on its principles and strengthen international collaboration for peace and security.
