Saint Denis Basilica

The Basilica of Saint Denis, located just north of Paris, is a historic church known as the burial site of French kings. Founded in the 5th century, it is considered the first example of Gothic architecture, featuring pointed arches, ribbed vaults, and flying buttresses. The basilica is renowned for its stunning stained glass and ornate sculptures, as well as its royal tombs, including those of King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette.
