Research Paradigms

Research paradigms are frameworks that guide how research is conducted, influencing what questions are asked and how answers are found. They can be broadly categorized into quantitative, which focuses on measurable data and statistical analysis; qualitative, which explores experiences and meanings through interviews and observations; and mixed methods, which combines both approaches. Each paradigm reflects different beliefs about the nature of knowledge and reality, shaping researchers' perspectives and methodologies in their pursuit of understanding complex issues. Choosing a paradigm determines how findings are interpreted and applied in real-world contexts.
