The Prime Minister of India is the head of government and is responsible for running the country. Elected by the majority party or coalition in Parliament, the Prime Minister leads the executive branch, implements laws, and oversees government functions. They represent India on international platforms and make critical decisions on economic policies, security, and social issues. The Prime Minister also appoints ministers to form the Cabinet, which helps in governing. The current Prime Minister (as of the last update) is Narendra Modi, who has held the position since 2014.
