Indian parliament systems

The Indian Parliament is the supreme legislative body, consisting of two houses: the Lok Sabha (House of the People) and the Rajya Sabha (Council of States). Members of the Lok Sabha are directly elected by the public, while the Rajya Sabha's members are elected by state legislatures and appointed by the President. Parliament's main roles include making laws, debating national issues, and overseeing the executive branch. The President of India acts as the ceremonial head, while the Prime Minister leads the government. This system enables a balance of power and representation for the nation’s diverse population.
