Pregnancy-related nausea

Pregnancy-related nausea, often referred to as morning sickness, is a common condition affecting many pregnant individuals, especially in the first trimester. It is characterized by feelings of nausea and sometimes vomiting, which can occur at any time of day, not just in the morning. The exact cause isn't fully understood, but hormonal changes, particularly increased levels of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) and estrogen, are believed to play a significant role. While generally considered a normal part of pregnancy, severe cases, known as hyperemesis gravidarum, may require medical attention to manage symptoms and ensure proper nutrition.
