Parliament of Italy
The Parliament of Italy, called "Parlamento Italiano," is the country's legislative body responsible for making laws. It consists of two chambers: the Chamber of Deputies, with 400 members, and the Senate, with 200 members. Members are elected by the public in general elections. Parliament debates and votes on laws, influences government policy, and oversees the executive branch. It plays a crucial role in Italy's democratic system, ensuring representation and accountability. The President of the Republic, elected by Parliament, has a ceremonial role but also important powers regarding legislation and government formation.
