Ottoman Turkey
Ottoman Turkey refers to the historical empire established by the Ottoman Turks, which lasted from around 1299 to 1922. At its height, it spanned three continents, including parts of Europe, Asia, and Africa. The empire was known for its rich cultural contributions, including architecture, art, and cuisine, and for its diverse population, comprising various ethnicities and religions. Its capital, Istanbul (formerly Constantinople), was a center of trade and culture. The Ottoman Empire declined in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, ultimately leading to its dissolution after World War I and the establishment of modern Turkey in 1923.
