Other Minds Problem
The Other Minds Problem is a philosophical issue that questions how we can know that other beings possess minds like our own. While we have direct access to our own thoughts and feelings, we only observe the behavior of others. This leads to uncertainty about their internal experiences. For example, just because a dog wags its tail doesn’t mean it feels happiness in the same way we understand it. The problem highlights the difficulty in confirming the existence of consciousness in others, raising questions about empathy, understanding, and the nature of mind itself.
