Mukti Bahini

Mukti Bahini was the guerrilla resistance movement formed by Bengali nationalists during the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War. Comprising primarily of civilians, military personnel, and volunteers, their goal was to fight against West Pakistani authority and achieve independence for East Pakistan, which became Bangladesh. Operating through clandestine attacks, sabotage, and guerrilla tactics, Mukti Bahini played a crucial role in challenging the oppressive regime and supporting the allied efforts that led to Bangladesh’s independence.
