Moral Epistemology

Moral epistemology explores how we come to understand ethical truths. This branch of philosophy asks how we gain knowledge in ethics: what are our sources for moral insights? It investigates subjects such as the reliability of our moral intuitions, the role reason plays in forming ethical judgments, and whether ethical facts can be empirically verified. It basically asks, "How do we know what's right and wrong?"
