Margaret of England
Margaret of England (also known as Saint Margaret) was a medieval queen who lived in the 11th century. She was born into the English royal family but fled to Scotland after the Norman Conquest. She married King Malcolm III of Scotland and became a significant figure in Scottish history, known for her piety and reforms in the church. Margaret promoted education, charity, and the integration of Anglo-Saxon culture in Scotland. She was canonized as a saint by the Catholic Church, and her legacy continues through her descendants, including many later Scottish and English monarchs.
