Kingdom of Naples

The Kingdom of Naples was a historical state in southern Italy, existing from the late Middle Ages until the unification of Italy in the 19th century. Initially part of the Kingdom of Sicily, it became its own kingdom after a succession crisis. It included the area around Naples, a major cultural and economic center. The kingdom changed hands several times between various rulers, including the Angevins and Aragonese. It is known for its rich history, art, and influence, especially during the Renaissance. The kingdom's eventual unification with the Kingdom of Sardinia marked the creation of modern Italy.
