Khoja community
The Khoja community is a group primarily consisting of Ismaili Muslims, originating from South Asia, particularly India and Pakistan. They have diverse cultural backgrounds, largely stemming from their connections to the merchant class. Historically, the Khojas have been known for their entrepreneurial spirit and trade skills. They are notable for their distinct religious practices influenced by the teachings of their spiritual leader, the Aga Khan. Over time, many Khojas have migrated globally, enriching their communities with a blend of South Asian traditions and modern influences while maintaining a strong sense of identity and community cohesion.
