Nizari Ismailism
Nizari Ismailism is a branch of Shia Islam that believes in a line of Imams, or spiritual leaders, descended from the Prophet Muhammad through his cousin Ali and daughter Fatimah. Nizaris maintain that these Imams possess divine guidance to interpret the Quran and lead the community. They emphasize knowledge, reasoning, and individual interpretation of faith. The Nizari Ismaili community is known for its focus on education, social justice, and charitable efforts, exemplified by organizations like the Aga Khan Development Network. Their beliefs also include the importance of the Imam in guiding followers through spiritual and worldly matters.
