Imam Shah Karim al-Husayni (Aga Khan IV)

Imam Shah Karim al-Husayni, known as Aga Khan IV, is the 49th Imam of the Nizari Isma'ili Shia Muslims, a community within Islam. Born on December 13, 1936, in Geneva, Switzerland, he became Imam in 1957 after the death of his grandfather. Aga Khan IV is recognized for his efforts in promoting humanitarianism, education, and cultural understanding. He founded the Aga Khan Development Network, which works globally to improve living conditions, healthcare, and education in impoverished areas.
