Bhau Daji

Bhau Daji, also known as Bhau Daji Lad, was a prominent Indian figure in the 19th century, noted for his contributions to science, healthcare, and education. He served as a doctor and was the first Indian to hold a medical degree from the Grant Medical College in Mumbai. Bhau Daji was instrumental in modernizing local healthcare and advocated for public health initiatives. Additionally, he was a founding member of the Bombay Natural History Society and worked to promote knowledge and conservation of India's natural heritage, reflecting his commitment to public service and scientific advancement.
