Joint hypermobility
Joint hypermobility is a condition where a person’s joints move beyond the typical range of motion. This can be due to genetic factors affecting the connective tissues, such as ligaments, which may be looser or more elastic. While some individuals don't experience any issues, others may face discomfort, pain, or injuries. It's often assessed through tests that measure flexibility. Hypermobility can be a normal variation in movement for some, but in others, it can be associated with conditions like Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, requiring awareness and sometimes management to maintain joint health.
