Jaxartes River

The Jaxartes River, known today as the Syr Darya, is a significant river in Central Asia. It flows through countries like Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Kazakhstan before emptying into the Aral Sea. Historically, it served as an important water source and trade route along the Silk Road. The river is essential for agriculture and irrigation in the region, supporting local economies.
