ISAF

ISAF stands for the International Security Assistance Force, which was a NATO-led mission established in 2001 to help stabilize Afghanistan following the fall of the Taliban. Its primary goal was to support the Afghan government and assist in rebuilding the country, promoting security, and training Afghan forces. The mission involved troops from various countries and aimed to combat terrorism and create a secure environment for development. ISAF officially ended in December 2014, transitioning to a new mission called Resolute Support, focusing on training and advising Afghan security forces.
