Inuvialuit
The Inuvialuit are indigenous people living in the western Arctic region of Canada, primarily in the Inuvialuit Settlement Region, which includes parts of the Northwest Territories and the northern coast of Yukon. They are traditionally hunters and fishers, relying on the land and sea for their subsistence. The Inuvialuit have a rich cultural heritage, including their own languages, art, and community practices. In the 1980s, they negotiated a land claim agreement with the Canadian government, which recognized their rights and established a framework for self-governance, helping to preserve their culture and improve living conditions.
