Internal combustion engine

An internal combustion engine (ICE) is a machine that converts fuel into motion. Inside the engine, fuel and air mix and ignite, creating small explosions. These explosions push pistons that move up and down, turning a crankshaft, which ultimately powers the vehicle. ICEs are commonly found in cars, motorcycles, and many other types of machinery. They can run on various fuels like gasoline or diesel. Despite their efficiency, ICEs emit pollutants and greenhouse gases, prompting a shift towards cleaner alternatives, such as electric vehicles.
