Ibrahim Pasha of Egypt (1789–1848) was a prominent military leader and the son of Muhammad Ali, the Ottoman governor who modernized Egypt. Under his father's rule, Ibrahim became known for his military campaigns, notably against the Ottoman Empire and in the Greek War of Independence. He played a crucial role in expanding Egypt’s territory and implementing reforms. Educated and progressive, he promoted agricultural and educational advancements in the region. Despite his successes, he faced challenges, including defeats and political rivalries, ultimately contributing to the shifting dynamics of power in the Ottoman Empire and the broader Middle East during the 19th century.
