Hyena

Hyenas are carnivorous mammals belonging to the family Hyaenidae, primarily found in Africa and Asia. Known for their distinct appearance, they have strong forelimbs and a sloping back. Hyenas are social animals, living in groups called clans, which can consist of up to 80 individuals. They are often associated with scavenging but are also skilled hunters, using teamwork to capture prey. Famous for their distinctive vocalizations, they can produce sounds that resemble laughter. There are four main species: the spotted, brown, striped, and aardwolf, each with unique behaviors and ecological roles.
