Hyenas

Hyenas are carnivorous mammals found primarily in Africa and parts of Asia. They belong to the family Hyaenidae and are known for their distinctive laughter-like vocalizations. There are four species: the spotted, brown, striped, and aardwolf. Hyenas are social animals that live in groups called clans, which can consist of up to 80 individuals. They are skilled scavengers, often feeding on leftovers from other predators, but they can also hunt for their own food. Despite their reputation, hyenas play a crucial role in their ecosystems by helping to control animal populations and clean up carcasses.
