Crocuta crocuta (Spotted Hyena)

Crocuta crocuta, commonly known as the spotted hyena, is a large carnivorous mammal native to Africa. Recognized for its powerful build, strong jaws, and distinctive spotted coat, it is highly adaptable and social, living in complex groups called clans. Often misunderstood as scavengers, spotted hyenas are skilled hunters, capable of taking down large prey.
