Hungarian Conquest
The Hungarian Conquest refers to the migration and establishment of the Hungarian tribes in the Carpathian Basin during the late 9th century, around 895 AD. Led by a ruler named Árpád, the Magyars moved from their original homeland in the Ural Mountains region of present-day Russia to Central Europe. They settled in what is now Hungary, displacing or integrating with local populations. This period marked the foundation of Hungary as a distinct political entity and a significant force in medieval Europe, influencing the region's culture, language, and politics for centuries to come.
