Magyars
The Magyars are a Central European ethnic group primarily associated with Hungary, where they make up the majority of the population. They originated from the Ural Mountains area and migrated to the Carpathian Basin in the late 9th century. The term "Hungarian" is often used interchangeably with "Magyar." The Magyars have a distinct language, Hungarian, which is part of the Finno-Ugric language family, making it unique in Europe. Their rich cultural heritage includes music, folklore, and contributions to art and science, with a history shaped by various influences due to Hungary's location and interactions with neighboring cultures.
