Árpád

Árpád was a 9th-century Hungarian chieftain and leader who is considered the founder of the Hungarian nation. He led the Magyars during their migration into the Carpathian Basin, around the late 800s, establishing a tribal confederation that laid the groundwork for Hungary's future state. Árpád's leadership unified the Magyar tribes and enabled them to settle in Central Europe, where they later formed the medieval Hungarian kingdom.
