Hungarian tribes
The Hungarian tribes were a group of related nomadic peoples who migrated into the Carpathian Basin around the 9th century. They are part of the Uralic language family, speaking the early ancestors of modern Hungarian. These tribes organized themselves into confederations and played a key role in forming the foundation of the Hungarian nation. Their migration and settlement shaped the cultural, linguistic, and political landscape of Central Europe. Over time, they integrated with local populations and established a distinct identity that led to the creation of the Kingdom of Hungary.
