Heuristic Methods

Heuristic methods are simple, practical approaches to problem-solving and decision-making that shortcut the process by using rules of thumb, educated guesses, or trial-and-error. Rather than analyzing every possible option, heuristics help us make quicker judgments when faced with complex situations or incomplete information. For example, if you're deciding which route to take while driving, you might rely on your past experiences with traffic patterns rather than calculating the exact distance or time for each possible route. While heuristics can be efficient, they may sometimes lead to errors or biases.
