Hazara culture
Hazara culture originates from the Hazara ethnic group primarily found in central Afghanistan. Known for their distinct language (Hazaragi, a dialect of Dari), the Hazaras have a rich tradition in poetry, music, and art, often reflecting their history and struggles. Predominantly Shia Muslims, their religious practices influence their cultural celebrations. Hazaras are renowned for their craftsmanship, especially in carpet weaving and metalwork. Despite facing historical discrimination and conflict, they maintain a resilient cultural identity, marked by a strong sense of community, family values, and a commitment to education and social progress.
