Hazara Community

The Hazara community is an ethnic group primarily located in Afghanistan, particularly in the central region known as Hazarajat. They are recognized for their distinct language, Hazaragi, which is a dialect of Dari, and their unique cultural practices. Hazaras are predominantly Shia Muslims, which has historically made them targets of discrimination and violence, especially from Sunni extremist groups. Despite challenges, Hazaras have made significant contributions to Afghan society, arts, and education. Their rich heritage includes traditional music, clothing, and festivals that reflect their identity and resilience amidst adversity.
