Pakistani Hazaras
Pakistani Hazaras are an ethnic minority primarily residing in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces, with roots in Afghanistan. They are descendants of the Hazara people, originally from Central Asia, and are mostly Shia Muslims, which often sets them apart in predominantly Sunni Pakistan. Due to historical discrimination, marginalization, and periods of violence, they face social and economic challenges. Despite these issues, many Hazaras are known for their strong community bonds, resilience, and rich cultural heritage, including distinctive language, traditions, and craftsmanship. Their plight highlights broader issues of ethnic and religious tolerance in the region.
