Grading Systems

Grading systems are methods used to evaluate and communicate a student’s academic performance. Typically, grades are assigned as letters (A, B, C, D, F), with A being the highest and F indicating failure. Each letter corresponds to a numeric value, often on a scale of 0 to 4, known as Grade Point Average (GPA). Different educational institutions may use variations, such as pluses and minuses (e.g., A+, B-), and some may incorporate additional assessments like participation or projects. Grading helps standardize evaluations and provides insight into a student's understanding and mastery of subjects.
