Goldbach's Conjecture
Goldbach's Conjecture is a famous problem in number theory that suggests every even whole number greater than two can be expressed as the sum of two prime numbers. Prime numbers are numbers greater than one that can only be divided by one and themselves, like 2, 3, 5, 7, etc. For example, the number 8 can be expressed as 3 + 5. While it has been tested extensively for large numbers and holds true, no one has yet proven that it works for all even numbers, making it one of mathematics' great unsolved mysteries.
