Gnutella

Gnutella is a decentralized peer-to-peer file-sharing network that allows users to share and download files directly from one another without a central server. Launched in 2000, it enables users to search for music, videos, and other files by connecting to others' computers. Each user acts as both a client and a server, meaning they can upload and download simultaneously. Gnutella was one of the first networks to implement a truly decentralized model, setting the stage for future file-sharing platforms and influencing the way digital content is exchanged online.
