Enragés

The Enragés were a radical group during the French Revolution, active in 1793. They emerged from the working class, advocating for more extreme measures against the monarchy and for greater social justice. They pushed for policies like price controls on essential goods to protect the poor and were critical of the National Convention for being too moderate. The Enragés were influential in calling for direct action and were associated with leaders like Jacques Roux. Their movement highlighted the tensions between different revolutionary factions and the struggle for equality and support for the less fortunate during a turbulent time in France.
