Edward I (King of England)

Edward I, known as "Longshanks" and "the Hammer of the Scots," was King of England from 1272 to 1307. He is recognized for his efforts to strengthen royal authority, reform the legal system, and expand English territories. Edward sought to conquer Scotland, leading to notable conflicts, including the Wars of Scottish Independence. He also ordered the construction of impressive castles, such as Caernarfon and Harlech, to secure his reign.
