Duke of Zhou

The Duke of Zhou (Zhou Gong) was a key figure in ancient Chinese history, living around the 11th century BCE. He was a nobleman and a regent during the early Western Zhou Dynasty, known for his wisdom and leadership. The Duke of Zhou is celebrated for his role in consolidating the Zhou dynasty after the overthrow of the Shang dynasty and for developing the political and moral foundations of Chinese governance.
