Display Technologies

Display technologies refer to the various methods and materials used to visualize images, videos, and information on screens. Common types include LCD (Liquid Crystal Display), which uses liquid crystals and backlighting; OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode), known for vibrant colors and deep blacks since each pixel emits its own light; and LED (Light Emitting Diode), which refers to a type of backlighting for LCDs. Each technology has distinct advantages, such as energy efficiency, color accuracy, and contrast. They are used in devices like TVs, smartphones, and monitors, shaping how we experience digital media.
