Plasma Display Panel (PDP)

A Plasma Display Panel (PDP) is a flat-screen technology used in televisions and monitors. It consists of tiny cells filled with gas that, when electrically charged, emit ultraviolet light. This light excites phosphor coatings on the inside of the screen, producing vibrant images. PDPs are known for their excellent color accuracy, wide viewing angles, and deep black levels, making them ideal for watching movies and sports. However, they are less common today due to the rise of LED and OLED technologies, which offer better energy efficiency and thinner profiles.
