CRT (Cathode Ray Tube)
A Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) is a technology used in older televisions and computer monitors. It consists of a large glass tube that contains a vacuum and an electron gun. This gun fires electrons, which travel down the tube and hit a phosphorescent screen, producing images. Different colors are created by using red, green, and blue phosphors. Although CRTs were widely used for decades, they have largely been replaced by flat-panel technologies like LCD and LED, which are lighter, thinner, and more energy-efficient. However, CRTs are still appreciated for their color accuracy and fast response times in certain applications.
