Image for Raster Graphics

Raster Graphics

Raster graphics are images created from a grid of tiny colored squares called pixels. Each pixel holds color information, and together they form complex images like photos or detailed artwork. When you zoom in deeply, the individual pixels become visible, which can make the image look pixelated. Raster graphics are ideal for rich, detailed images with subtle color variations, such as photographs. Common formats include JPEG, PNG, and GIF. They are resolution-dependent, meaning their quality depends on the image size; enlarging a raster image too much can reduce clarity.
