Direct Realism

Direct Realism is a philosophical view suggesting that we perceive the world directly as it is. According to this perspective, when we see an object, like a tree, we are experiencing the tree itself, not an interpretation or an image created in our minds. This means our senses provide a direct connection to reality, without distortion. In contrast to theories that argue our perceptions are influenced by our minds or senses, direct realism asserts that our experiences reflect the actual properties of the external world as they truly are.
