Disjunctivism
Disjunctivism is a philosophical view about perception and experience. It suggests that when you perceive something directly—like seeing a tree—your experience is fundamentally different from, say, imagining or hallucinating it. In perception, there's a direct, genuine connection to the actual object, not just an internal mental state. Conversely, illusions or dreams don't involve this direct connection. Essentially, disjunctivism maintains that perceptual experiences are uniquely tied to the real world, making them distinct from other mental states that only seem similar.
