Density Measurement
Density measurement is the process of determining how much mass is contained in a specific volume of a substance. It's calculated by dividing the mass (weight) of the material by its volume (the space it occupies). For example, if you have a solid block that weighs 10 grams and takes up 5 cubic centimeters of space, its density would be 2 grams per cubic centimeter. Density helps identify materials and understand their properties; for instance, substances with higher density tend to sink in liquids with lower density, which is why oil floats on water.
