DDoS attacks
A Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack occurs when multiple computers are used to overwhelm a server, website, or network with an immense volume of traffic. This flood of requests makes it difficult or impossible for legitimate users to access the service. Hackers often control a network of compromised computers, called a botnet, to carry out this attack. The goal is to disrupt normal service, cause financial loss, or create chaos, demonstrating the vulnerabilities of internet infrastructure. Organizations typically employ various security measures to mitigate the impact of such attacks.
