Domain Name System
The Domain Name System (DNS) is like the phonebook of the internet. It translates human-friendly website addresses, such as www.example.com, into numerical IP addresses that computers use to identify each other. When you type a website name into your browser, DNS servers quickly convert that name into the corresponding IP address, allowing your device to connect to the right server and load the website. Essentially, DNS makes it easier for us to navigate the internet by using memorable names instead of complicated strings of numbers.
