Constellation program
The Constellation program was a NASA initiative aimed at developing new spacecraft and technologies for human space exploration beyond Earth. Launched in the early 2000s, it focused on returning humans to the Moon by the 2020s and eventually sending astronauts to Mars. The program included the Orion crew capsule and the Ares rockets. However, due to budget constraints and technical challenges, it was ultimately canceled in 2010. Elements of Constellation influenced later projects, like NASA’s Artemis program, which seeks to achieve similar goals of lunar exploration and beyond.
